ThreadTuck Privacy Policy

ThreadTuck is a browser extension that locally folds older conversation turns on supported ChatGPT pages.

Data access

ThreadTuck accesses page structure on chatgpt.com and the legacy chat.openai.com address only to identify conversation-turn elements, change their local visibility, and display restore controls.

ThreadTuck does not inspect, collect, store, or transmit conversation text, prompts, responses, account details, or other page content.

Stored settings

ThreadTuck stores only four preferences through the browser's chrome.storage.sync API: whether the extension is enabled, the number of recent turns to keep visible, the restore batch size, and the quiet-mode preference.

If browser sync is enabled, the browser may synchronize these preferences between the user's signed-in devices under the browser provider's own terms and privacy practices.

Network, analytics, and third parties

ThreadTuck has no extension-operated server, analytics, advertising, tracking, payment processing, or remotely hosted executable code. It does not sell or share user data.

Permissions

ThreadTuck requests access only to chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com to provide its single purpose. The storage permission is used only for the preferences listed above.

Data retention and deletion

ThreadTuck retains no conversation content. Users can reset stored preferences in the popup or remove all extension settings by uninstalling the extension. Browser-synced preference handling is controlled by the browser.

Changes and contact

Material changes to this policy will be reflected by updating the effective date. For privacy questions, use the ThreadTuck support page. Do not include private conversation content or account information in a public issue.

Independent product

ThreadTuck is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI. ChatGPT is a trademark of OpenAI.
